Day 1:

Set sail with enough time to soak up some quality time to visit Brightlingsea Harbour with your vessel.

As you reach the north cardinal just outside the Harbour entrance, radio on VHF 68 for instructions and guidance on where to moor. The dedicated team out on the water will direct you to a berth and take your lines helping you to settle in quickly and efficiently.

Once you are all moored safely and ready to come ashore, if you are out on the pontoons, call up for the Water Taxi on ch68 to come ashore. Once ashore, pop in to the Harbour Office to settle your dues. A chance to collect any valuable information you may require for your stay. In the Harbour Office, we also have Visitor Guides & Tide tables available and some doggy biscuits if you have brought your 4-legged friends along too!

Take a stroll around the Harbour to get your bearings and settle in before heading to the Yachtsman’s Arms for a delicious dinner. (If you wish to venture further, we have many eateries in town located just a 5–10-minute walk from the Harbour Office).

Once you have enjoyed a delicious meal, return to your boat for a relaxing evening on the water enjoying the views as the sun begins to set.

Day 2:

Wake up to the beautiful views from your boat ready for the day ahead.

Head ashore towards town and enjoy some delicious breakfast at one of the towns much love cafes, before exploring local attractions.

Feeling refuelled?

Take a stroll around the town and visit the local independent shops, picking up some souvenirs to remember your stay! Next, head to the town’s favourite maritime museum, explore the heritage Brightlingsea holds.

Afternoon:

Grab a bite to eat before embarking on a coastal walk along the promenade (available in the Visitor Guide or a walking booklet from the Harbour Office – allowing you the chance to gain a closer insight into the panoramic views surrounding you and exploring more of the town.

Pop to one of the local shops and grab a few bites to eat ready for a relaxing evening aboard your boat.
